    ACTION
    ---------------------------

    STOLEN WAGES
From 1904 to 1987, the Queensland Government withheld or underpaid wages earned by Aboriginal workers. Aboriginal stockmen and domestic workers were the underpaid backbone of the pastoral industry for much of the 20th Century.

Although progress has been made, campaigners are not happy with the Government and the campaign continues.

    Yes YOU can help.

For more information about the campaign, the issues involved and examples of what to write see http://www.eniar.org/action/stolen.html

    Email: thepremier@premiers.qld.gov.au

This campaign is becoming a national one. For decades the New South Wales Government literally stole the money of Aboriginal people who it said were under its care and protection. The sums run to millions of dollars. Now the State Government is demand documentary proof from claimants - despite the State destroying it! http://www.eniar.org/news/antar8.html

    Email: bob.carr@www.nsw.gov.au

    HEALTH
What can I do? Find out in our health information section. http://www.eniar.org/news/health.html

    COLLECTIVE RIGHTS
'Collective human rights' do not exist according to the U.K. government! This stance - undermining a long-established concept in International Law - is actively harming tribal peoples.

BRITISH people can help by writing to the U.K. Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and your local MP
    http://www.eniar.org/news/survival2.html

    HUMAN REMAINS
The consultation on this issue by the U.K. Government ends 29 October 2004 See http://www.culture.gov.u.k./cultural_property/wg_human_remains for more information or email: Human.Remains@Culture.gsi.gov.u.k.

    PRO BON LAWYER
Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal people in South Australia are appealing for help from a United Kingdom legal practitioner or solicitor's firm. The Ngarrindjeri intend to undertake civil proceedings against the Crown in the High Court in London. http://www.eniar.org/news/byrt.html

    ABORIGINES IN EUROPE

2006: 400 years of bilateral contact between Australia and The Netherlands Currently being organised.
