See Cairns up high and Tjapukai up close

29 January 2007 - Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park and Hot Air have come together to deliver a unique experience for those craving an adventure.

You begin with a scenic ride over the Cairns Highlands in hot air balloon. Hot Air has a fantastic range of balloons to choose from – including themed and custom designed balloons and baskets.

Once you touch down, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast at North Queensland’s indigenous attraction park, Tjapukai. Featuring five theatres, a museum, and an art gallery, Tjapukai was opened in 1987 as Australia’s first Aboriginal dance theatre.

Tjapukai will give you a glimpse into traditional Aboriginal culture through dance and music as well as promote cultural diversity through educating visitors about Australia’s indigenous heritage.

The experience spans over 6 hours (from 5am to 11am) and is priced at $206 for adults and $119.90 for children. However, this deal is only valid until 30 April, 2007. So get in quick and make a booking!

For enquiries and bookings, please call Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park on (07) 4042 9999 or log onto www.tjapukai.com.au.
