As always, I am amazed that few people are aware there is a London based Aboriginal Rights group, so I am delighted to have this opportunity to tell you about ENIAR. We formed in 1998 from the European-based work of individuals and organisations (including ANTaR UK), committed to human rights and social justice for Indigenous Australians. Our aim is to promote awareness on Indigenous issues and to provide information for Indigenous Australians about Europe and international organisations. ENIAR is not affiliated to any government or commercial bodies, is not-for-profit and is run entirely by volunteers. Our activities over the years have included
In 2000 we launched www.eniar.org, which has now grown beyond all our expectations and includes fact sheets, European and Australian media coverage, a guide to Indigenous support organisations, ENIAR and other organisations press releases, events gallery, European events and much, much more. We would greatly appreciate your feedback on the site.You can contact ENIAR at ENIAR campaigns on issues that attract international attention, for example Jabiluka, Land Rights and The Stolen Generations. We are currently supporting ANTaR Queenslands Stolen Wages Campaign. If you know of or have campaigns running that may be relevant to Europeans please get in touch.
