    Face the facts

    Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission - Media Release

    20 March 2001 - Face the Facts - a document answering basic questions on immigration, refugees and Indigenous affairs - will be released on Wednesday 21 March 2001. It is a revised version of the original Face the Facts launched in1997.

    Acting Race Discrimination Commissioner Dr Bill Jonas will release Face the Facts to counter the myths and misinformation that often surround debate on these issues. face the facts booklet

    Rather than attempting to stifle debate, the document aims to encourage debate based on facts, not prejudice.

    A media statement will be issued on Wednesday and a copy of the document will be available on the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission website.
