    Descendance meets the Queen

3 June 2002 - Jose Calarco's, Descendance Aboriginal Dance Co, will break new ground in the UK this week when 4 of its members will play in Hyde Park London Monday 1.30pm to an estimated audience of 1 million people as part of the Queens Jubilee celebrations.

They will also meet the Queen on Tuesday evening at the conclusion of the event Tue 6pm.

The audience size makes it the biggest performance ever by an indigenous troupe from Australia, also massive gigs coming up at Stonehenge and Glastonbury festivals, the group will be in Europe until September and have already visited 10 countries this year, making Descendance the most travelled Australian artists in 2002.

Descendance works in association with Red Centre Dreaming resort in Alice Springs where we a running a nightly show all year round.

Descendance receives no funding and has no permanent work space, if
anyone can help it would be appreciated, our website is under construction, and almost completed.
