Aboriginal leader at Bray seminar
1 December 2000 - An Aboriginal leader was the keynote speaker at a conference
which took place in Bray last weekend.
Patrick Dodson, who has been a campaigner for the rights of Aboriginal
people in his country for the last 30 years, addressed the conference,
'Exploring Identities', which was hosted by the locally based organisation
80-20.
The conference was held at St. Cronan's National School. Engaged in work
to 'educate and act for a better world', Dodson was one of a number of
speakers at the weekend event, which also included participants from the
U.K., east Belfast and from the greater Dublin Area.
Students from a number of Bray secondary schools took part in the conference,
last Saturday.
