PM's wife hosts Indigenous literacy function at The Lodge

26 August 2008 - Therese Rein will host a special Indigenous literacy function at The Lodge today.

The Prime Minister's wife, patron of the Indigenous Literacy Project, will be joined by six Aboriginal children and Gabi Hollows from the Fred Hollows Foundation.

The function is being held ahead of next week's Indigenous Literacy Day, a national event intended to raise $250,000 for books and other resources for Indigenous children.

The Indigenous Literacy Project is a partnership between the Hollows foundation, the Australian Publishers Association and the Australian Booksellers Association.
